Pro-Life vs. Pro- Choice

It is an old argument, going on for decades and will go on for many more. We are reminded every time there is an election placing officials in office. My argument is not lifers against choice, but the politicians who use these choices to win elections. I get so tired of them using the abortion platform to gain political office.
We expect promises, yet we are so forgivable when they are not followed through. We are a gullible lot, thinking every promise will be fulfilled and the world will be wonderful place. We are all going to have universal health care, and no one will be turned away. No child will be left behind. Global warming is a mere theory. The war in Iraq has ended. The world would be a morbid place if we didn't believe, wouldn't it?
You see whether I agree with Rowe vs. Wade or not, choosing a politician by his stated choice doesn't really matter. Do you see any politician trying to make changes or amendments to the law? It's like voting in a politician because he is a pronounced christian. Just because he goes to church, is he Christ like? How do you know what he really believes? I think politicians will say about anything to get elected.
I will admit, I am more optimistic about our new president-elect than the average joe. It was time for a big change. I think we all can agree on that. I will be tuned into the inauguration tomorrow morning with my box of kleenex, tears in my eyes, witnessing the most important event in our countries history. I will be gullable and believe everything I hear and happy to do so.
I am going to keep this short. It is time for all grandmothers to be in bed. This is open to discussion but please keep it nice and clean.
